We now have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer/ Course Leader in Maths in the School of Customer Service Business and Leisure. This is a full time, permanent position based in Hull working 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Within the role, you will work primarily with students engaged across a range of courses providing a high level of support needed to achieve their programme of study. You will deliver high quality teaching and learning on GCSE and Functional skills maths, ensuring stretch, challenge and engagement of students of all ages and abilities.
Contributing to the development, planning and implementation of a high level curriculum, the role involves developing learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress.
The successful candidate will hold a Subject specialism to degree standard in the appropriate subject coupled with a Certificate of Education or PGCE (or willingness to work towards).GCSE or equivalent in English is also required.
Previous experience of teaching the relevant subject and industry knowledge of experience would be beneficial and, although not essential, working within Further/Higher Education is desirable.
