Student Services Customer Advisor (SSCA)

Location: Hull

Salary: £17,986 per annum for the first 10 months then reducing to £10,937 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Services Customer Advisor to join us at Hull College. This is a fixed term maternity cover role, for 37 hours per week from January 2018 for ten months until October 2018. The role will then reduce to 22.5 hours per week until April 2019 when the contract will come to an end.

As a Student Advisor you will provide an effective and high quality customer focussed service at all times to customers and potential customers through the provision of information, advice, guidance (IAG) and reception/helpdesk duties, thereby contributing to the college’s wider strategic objectives and student recruitment targets.

We are looking for someone who holds a minimum of Grade C or equivalent in GCSE English and Maths and also a Level 2 IT qualification. A Level 3 IAG or careers qualification would also be desirable.

The ideal Candidate will have experience of office work and systems and an understanding of the broad IAG requirements of students. Also, the ability to work calmly under pressure and monitor and resolve customer service problems is essential to the role
