Joining us as a Governance and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director Governance and Compliance in the provision of company secretarial services for all areas of the College including development and management of systems, and processes relating to compliance and legal matters.
Providing a high quality service to members of the Corporation, its Committees and SLT members in respect of the Governance of the College, you must foster excellent relationships and communications between members of the Corporation and the SLT and assist with the development and implementation of a College wide annual governance plan (Business Cycle) which facilitates, through good governance and decision making, the delivery of the College’s strategic objectives.
Educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally with experience of governance, candidates must be capable of implementing change and have knowledge in either; Charity Law, Employment Law, Company Law and/or Instrument and Articles of Governance (FE/HE institutions).
Knowledge and understanding of interpreting guidance in regulatory frameworks and how these apply in practice is essential and you must have the ability to identify and manage confidentiality and quickly assimilate and issue key information from detailed/complex documentation.
