We now have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Student Services team where you will provide a high quality and confidential customer-focussed support to learners with additional learner support needs. This is a permanent part time position working 20 hours per week over 36 weeks per year.

Within the role you will work alongside Tutors and SEND Team Leaders, providing additional support within a managed classroom environment. Enabling learners to study independently and achieve their learning goals, you will support learners with additional learning needs and those with neuro-diverse and complex needs, empowering independent learning and study. Additional support will be provided in line with the support assessment and will include support in and out of the class, with some areas of personal assistance if required.

We are looking for someone who has an understanding of the additional learning support needs of learners, who ideally has previous experience of working with learners with additional learning support needs. With a confident, approachable and friendly disposition, you will be able to work calmly under pressure whilst working effectively both independently and as a member of a team. Having a confidence to access and navigate confidently around college ICT systems is also important.
